Another spring, blossom again, but I never get used to it!! This time of year is so breathtakingly beautiful in the countryside in Bulgaria, especially when the sun goes down and shines through all those tender little flowers.
Unfortunately it is also always over in a flash. We had a few hard frosts the last couple of days, very late for that really, and a lot of the young budding walnut leaves froze. I see the tree is making new leaves already, I wonder what it will mean for later in the year, when we’ll be hoping for lots of walnuts. And has the frost also affected the amount of fruit we will get from the blossoming trees? I hope not, we will see.
